if a jedi can fight with force powers then why use a weapon?
if a person cannot use force powers then why use a jedi weapon?
believing in force powers makes the jedi powerful...especialy if the enemies of jedi believe in the jedi force powers.
so, the legend and mystery amplify the power of the jedi, but set an impossible standard for a jedi...it is impossible to show in reality anything which is supernatural, such as force powers.
when a jedi carries a weapon, the jedi admits that the force is supernatural and is not a real power and thus the jedi must humbly admit that Jediism is a religion or a game and not a reality.

is religion the label given to a belief structure, or more importantly, is it a tool with which one can reach a higher awareness of the spiritual self?

Jediism is real.People have used it, they have used the Force to lift things up and push it across the room. They have actually used it to use Jedi Mind Trick and see peoples feelings. Its real.
